1. Service Agreement
By booking a move with Perez Moving Co, you agree to these terms. A written estimate will be provided prior to service; pricing is based on the estimate unless scope changes during the move.
2. Pricing & Billing
Most moves are billed at a flat hourly rate with a stated minimum. Long-distance moves may be quoted on a binding basis (weight + distance). Full payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Deposits & Cancellations
A booking deposit may be required to reserve your date. Deposits are fully refundable to an available alternate date. If cancelled indefinitely, the deposit covers scheduling and logistics costs.
4. Insurance & Liability
Perez Moving Co is fully licensed and insured (USDOT# 4270090). Standard carrier liability is $0.60 per pound per item, in accordance with federal regulations. Additional valuation coverage is available through our affiliate Move Guard (TGmoveguard.com).
5. Items We Cannot Move
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport: flammable liquids, explosives, firearms, ammunition, cash, jewelry, prescription medications, perishable food, live plants (long-distance), or hazardous materials. Please arrange personal transport for these items.
6. Preparation Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for emptying drawers, disconnecting appliances, securing pets, and ensuring safe access for the truck. Additional charges may apply if access requires extra time or equipment not disclosed in the estimate.
7. Damage Claims
Any damage claims must be reported in writing within 9 months of delivery. We will investigate promptly and resolve per applicable state and federal regulations.
8. Weather & Acts of God
Perez Moving Co is not liable for delays caused by severe weather, road closures, accidents, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected moves at no additional deposit cost.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lowndes County, Georgia.
